Although I have purchased the book, I received it as an ARC. This was a great story. The characters felt real and you can relate to it. Mr. James was this hot young teacher that everyone wanted. Catalina was one of his students that he mentored. Although there was an attraction, neither one gave in to it until a they were on a work assignment. Reggie was Cat's best friend but he was secretly in love with her. Turns out he became a true friend to Cat and eventually Connor (Mr. James). This story was well written and flowed. Would have like to see Connor tell Miss Hardgrove off, but it is worth the read.

I just can't really understand the strength I had inside me to finish this book....I'm sorry dearest author but this book is plain awful.was Catalina 13 years old? Was ....Jesus I'm so bored and go smacked over this book I forgot the dudes name, was he like a time traveler brought back from the Victorian era. The dialogue in the book made them both seem so.i wanted to like it but ya know what they say...people in jades want ice water.
Ms. Legend did a great job with this book. It had a lot of twists and turns. Connor was a hot professor and Catalina couldn't take her eyes off him. Of course the more they were around each other, the more they wanted each other until it happened. It was taboo but they fell for each other. His scheming ex and her ex really threw a wrench into their relationship. While there was no hope for his ex, Catalina's ex Reggie did have some redeeming qualities that really helped Connor and Catalina in the end. I really disliked Catalina's father in the end, but I guess he was just trying to protect his daughter. Glad he came around when he saw how happy she was. Great love story.
It stared out good but then fell flat. I'm sorry and I hate to give bad reviews but this book was really childish. Cat acted as an adult for the first half of the book and then begin to act kid like. And it was sooo stupid for her to not notice Reggie's obsession with her and for her to tell Reggie everything that went down with the professor; especially since she knew that it couldn't get out. But what does she do? Run straight to him and spill it all. Like very detailed. It was stupid. I can't. And her dad was ignorant. He kept throwing the fact that he sacrificed a lot to pay for her college but wouldn't handle the situation, even after Conor stepped up, explained, and proposed. And her father repeatedly said the exact same thing since he found out about the pregnancy. It was a complete waste of time. I'm a college student and could have been studying for my midterms, but instead read this crap and am disappointed. Never again.
I really enjoyed this story
This is a five star story!I. It is cleverly woven around a forbidden romance and the dynamics of friendship and family. The characters are well described and believable. I recommend it to a reader looking for a good novel.
Beautiful love story
Loved this book, it made me happy, it made me sad, and it made me angry; I especially loved the ending.
